We've been asked to convene at the Aldrich Arena in Maplewood at 6:30 am on Saturday, May 8. That will give us time to get reacquainted, meet any new escorts, and get our route information and assignments for the day's event before the participants get underway at 7:30. Aldrich Arena is located at 1850 White Bear Avenue, and we'll want to meet in the southwest corner of the parking lot. The aerial photo below shows where we should meet.
For those who want to grab a hot breakfast or a cup of coffee before we get started, plan to meet at Denny's restaurant at 3050 White Bear Lake Ave. around 5:30 am. This is just minutes away from Aldrich Arena, and the map below should help you find your way there. We'll leave the restaurant in time for our 6:30 meeting and ride to the arena together.
This is a rain-or-shine event for the bicyclers, so wear and bring riding gear that's appropriate for the day's weather. Early mornings in May can be unseasonably cold, and we want to stay on the road as much as possible to support the committed pedalers. Bring your rain gear!
