The MS 150 Bike Tour

Crossing the St. Louis River on the 2008 MS 150

The MS 150 is a two-day bike tour that will be held on Friday, June 11, through Sunday, June 13, 2010. It starts with a bus ride to bring the 3,000 or more bicyclers up to Proctor, MN, and ends at destination back in the Twin Cities. The 150-mile trip makes an overnight stop in Hinckley, MN, and uses a combination of paved bike trails and selected, scenic highways. This will be the 31st anniversary of the tour, and for additional details, here is a direct link to the MS Society's MS 150 Web site.

The tour will provide participants with a fully marked and supported route, with rest stops every 10-15 miles that serve water, energy drinks, fruit, and snacks. Bicycle mechanics will be available at the rest stops, and safety volunteers will keep the route as safe as possible. We'd like to have eighteen motorcycle escorts on this event, and it's preferable to find volunteers who can commit to serving for both days of the weekend.
